Title:
SeaDataNet metadata formats - ISO19115
Name:
Enrico Boldrini
Organisation:
CNR
Summary:

The ISO 19115 content model is the basis for the XML formats and exchange schema's (XSD), that have been defined for the SeaDataNet metadata services (such as EDMED, EDIOS, EDMERP, and CSR) and the Common Data Index (CDI). These are supported by an XML editor (MIKADO) and online CMS tools. Moreover marking up is supported by Common Vocabularies and Directories (such as EDMO). Very good progress is being made with the definition of fully INSPIRE compliant ISO19139 XML schema's for CDI and CSR. More info on the SeaDataNet metadata formats and schema's can be found at:

Title:
GeoSeas model for management of geoscientific data
Name:
Irina Bastrakova - Geoscience Australia
Organisation:
Geoscience Australia
Summary:

The paper describes GeoSeas approach of extending the CDI format with Observation and Measurement (O&M) and SensorML schemas. The O&M schema can contain the additional content fields ("user metadata"), required for describing geological and geophysical data, while SensorML provides patterns for storing information about sensors, processes and methods associated with data collection and processing.
